Special Education (SPED) Teacher - Elementary

TTCS is hiring an instructor in our SPED department. Teacher must have the required NM licenses and endorsements to teach K-8 special education. TESOL or Bilingual endorsements are preferred, as well as a Master’s degree.

 Teacher’s Responsibilities

  • Employs effective instructional methods and materials, appropriate to the needs of the students
  • Understands and can administer the IEP process and required documentation
  • Administers standardized tests in accordance with student accommodations and School schedules and requirements
  • Create daily lesson plans that demonstrate clear objectives for student mastery of established curriculum
  • Provides meaningful feedback to students and parents via frequent and documented assessments
  • Coordinates delivery of instruction with other staff as required under individual learning plans
  • Fosters a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and student growth
  • Ensure a sustainable relationship with parents, students, school personnel and members of the public by communicating in a confidential, polite and refined manner.
  • Assume duty schedule as required
  • Seek opportunities for personal learning through continuing education offerings

Middle School Math/Science Teacher

TTCS is expanding our Middle School, and we are currently hiring for a Math and Science teacher.  Teacher must have the required NM licenses and endorsements to teach these secondary subjects or eligible for a waiver.  TESOL preferred.  The subjects would be 8th grade integrated science, pre-algebra, and algebra 1.  Participation in the PED training for Open Science Ed in July is highly encouraged and would be compensated time prior to contract start date of August 6.

Speech Language Pathologist - 4 days per week

 The speech-language pathologist will work 4 days per week with students in grades Pre-K through 8.  While working in cooperation with case managers, teachers, parents and students, candidate shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language and hearing disorders, helping students to adjust and access the general education curriculum.

  • Assess, screen, and evaluate students and effectively share results with parents and educational staff, and participate in the eligibility determination process in accordance with state and school division requirements and best practice 
  • Develop and implement goals and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Speech/Language Impairment and assists with IEPs for students with speech/language as a service on an annual basis or according to requirements 
  • Comply with all Medicaid requirements for school-based claiming, including obtaining written Medicaid consent from parents of all students served and timely filing of claims that meet Medicaid standards 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development and individual student needs by providing relevant instruction according to the IEP and educational best practices 
  • Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services related to articulation, expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language 
  • Requires a Master's in SLP/Communication Disorders, CCC certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association, and Speech Language Pathologist license from the State of New Mexico and from the NM Public Education Department.

Front Desk Manager/Assist Data Manager

The assistant data manager/front desk manager position will support the data manager and oversee the school secretary.  This full time, 12-month position maintains the student records in the student data system, assists with testing and instructional system administration, coordinates the lottery process, and works with teachers and families on behalf of the school administration.  Additionally, this position coordinates the transportation and facility maintenance functions of the school by working closely with the vendors who provide these services.  Bilingual in Spanish is a highly desirable trait.  The successful applicant will be well versed in manipulating data in Excel and auditing for data integrity in large data sets using various software systems and reporting systems.  Must have a high attention to details, ability to follow through on tasks and keep track of multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

Operations Coordinator / Auxilliary Services

Operations/Auxiliary Services Coordinator to supervise and maintain our campus and non academic programs. This is a full-time 11 month position. Experience in operations and facility repair and maintenance required. This position reports to the Head Administrator.

Plant operations, maintenance and storage and surplus removal.

School bus transportation, student safety, and schedules working with our bus company and fleet of buses. Video review, route changes communicating with parents about student behavior.

Help manage Cafeteria and food service programs.

School expansion needs and issues.

Supervise custodians and custodial services contractors.  Maintain inventory and keys.

Work with and meet regularly with ACES (facility management company), respond to "School Dude" building request help requests. Train all employees to use the School Dude system.

Lead and manage all operational school issues and events.

Business Manager

The business manager position will administer the business office of the school, overseeing the financial reporting, risk management, treasury, budget, payroll, human resources, purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and staff. This position also has primary responsibility for facility maintenance, custodial services, food service administration and information technology and oversees those employees and contractors.   Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Budget development and monitoring, submitting budget adjustments and quarterly budget reporting to the Public Ed Department (PED). Attend all required annual training.
  • Review and submit all grant proposals.
  • Cash management, including reconciling of cash accounts
  • Financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Presentation of financial statements at governance council meetings. Creating of special reports as requested.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit, and follow up with PED regarding any findings and creating an action plan document for approval by PED and governance council
  • Monthly attendance at all governance council meetings, with primary responsibility for organizing and presenting at Finance, Facilities and Technology subcommittees
  • Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Ensure business office procedures and governance council policies are followed.
  • Create billing data for families and assure that bills are sent on a timely basis.
  • Administer vendor contracts, with support staff, for transportation, food service, and information technology.
  • Management of subordinate employees, provide annual evaluations
  • Provide human resource administration by assisting in employee discipline actions, FMLA, negotiating benefits, coordinate required trainings
  • Verification of bi-weekly payroll, benefit changes, pay rates, new hire processing, and terminations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with many different constituencies both orally and in writing, with a proven ability to create professional communications
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of state purchasing policies and school business policies
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and human resource laws
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to follow through on assigned tasks in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience as a financial manager
  • Prior work experience in a school business office
  • Certified Purchasing Officer
  • Licensed as a School Business Official
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Able to pass an FBI criminal background check
