Longterm Substitute Teacher, Kindergarten, Oct - March

We need one experienced, organized, and well qualified substitute teacher to cover a Kindergarten class during multiple maternity leaves, from approximately October 2018 until March 2019. This long term substitute teacher will need to fulfill all obligations of the regular classroom teacher, including lesson plans and attending parent and staff meetings. Pay depends on licensure, up to $125 per day as a substitute or licensed teachers may be eligible for regular teacher pay scales subject to level and years of experience.

Gifted Teacher - Elementary

For 30 - 40 students providing services in a pull-out program for multi-age groups.  NM Gifted endorsement required. TESOL or Bilingual endorsement preferred.  

Teacher’s Responsibilities

  • Employs effective instructional methods and materials, appropriate to the needs of the students
  • Administers standardized tests in accordance with School schedules and requirements
  • Create daily lesson plans that demonstrate clear objectives for student mastery of established curriculum
  • Provides meaningful feedback to students and parents via frequent and documented assessments
  • Coordinates delivery of instruction with other staff as required under individual learning plans
  • Fosters a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and student growth
  • Ensure a sustainable relationship with parents, pupils, school personnel and members of the public by communicating in a confidential, polite and refined manner.
  • Assume duty schedule as required
  • Seek opportunities for personal learning through continuing education offerings


  • Teaching license from the State of New Mexico
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Ability to create an effective working relationship with School personnel
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and coordinate details with others
  • Demonstration of effective classroom management techniques using 21st century classroom skills

Evening Custodian, Full Time (9 months)

  • Ensure spaces are prepared for next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, wiping surfaces and cleaning floors
  • Wash and sanitize bathrooms, sinks and countertops, and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
  • Report major damages and oversee repairs
  • Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and securing all areas of the campus  Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
  • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
  • Very good physical condition and strength
  • High school diploma is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work 2pm – 10pm, Monday – Friday with reliable transportation

School Occupational Therapist, 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) 9 months

The school occupational therapist will provide services to help students engage in school tasks necessary for class participation and learning. This position will coordinate with the teachers under the direction of the Special Education Director and the Head Administrator to address issues such as classroom behavior, handwriting skills, learning style, and ability to pay attention in a classroom setting. The occupational therapist will participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as required and will participate in problem solving throughout the prevention and intervention process.
