The Los Alamos National Foundation, which supports education, community projects and organizations in Northern New Mexico through a grant process, is suspending its fourth-quarter funding for such projects because it has expended its grant funds for the year. Fourth-quarter funding will not be provided. In 2018, two grant-making cycles will be scheduled for the spring and the fall. Visitwww.lanlfoundation.org/grants in January to deadlines and application details.
The foundation recently gave some $82,645 in grants to 24 education and community projects, including to the Santa Fe Alliance for Science for family science events, the Partners in Education program for funding for school field trips to the Legislature, and to Turquoise Trail Charter School in Santa Fe for inquiry science kits and curriculum and a new literacy program.
